8 new companies sign PDME employer mobility agreement with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole

Information updated on 28/03/23

On February 17, 2023, eight employers in the Montpellier Métropole area signed an Employer Mobility Plan agreement, demonstrating their commitment to encourage the use of alternatives to individual car travel.

The Employer Mobility Plan is an approach that seeks to optimize and increase the efficiency of travel related to a company's activity, in particular that of its employees, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and atmospheric pollutants, as well as reducing congestion of transport infrastructure and resources.

The signature of an Employer Mobility Plan (“PDME” in French) agreement between Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and an employer confirms the employer’s commitment to encourage its employees to use alternative forms of transportation.

On Friday, February 17, 2023, the following eight employers – representing nearly 20,000 employees – signed their PDME mobility agreement:
  • Bausch+Lomb - Laboratoire Chauvin
  • CHU University Hospital
  • CIRAD
  • CNRS
  • Groupama Méditerranée
  • Groupe OC Santé
  • Institut Agro Montpellier
  • MGEN
These employers benefited from the support of Montpellier Métropole throughout their PDME process. They were provided with mapping and survey tools to help them conduct their self-assessment. Advice was also provided on how to develop their action plan.
Thanks to their employer’s commitment and signing of the agreement, employees in these organizations will be entitled to a reduced fare on the TaM public transport network, until public transportation becomes free for all Montpellier Métropole residents on December 21, 2023.
