Montpellier International Fair - Destination San Francisco
The 69th Montpellier International Fair continues its world tour, this time taking you to San Francisco!
The Fair will even offer an interactive exhibition for total immersion. You will get to dive into the history of California and the development of the city of San Francisco, from the conquest of the West to the Gold Rush, featuring California’s emblematic cable cars, the 1906 earthquake, the Golden Gate Bridge construction project, Alcatraz prison and its famous prisoner, Al Capone, plus the Beat Generation and the 1960s hippie movement.
The presentation includes collections of posters, brand advertisements, a photography exhibition, video projections, life-size reconstructions, displays, and archive documents. You will also get a chance to travel along the West coast of the United States to discover the city and other parts of the historically rich state, such as Yosemite Park, California vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley, the Pacific coast and Big Sur, leisure activities (hiking, surfing...). Get to know an art of living known as the California way of life.
