Bloom Pictures, a 3D animation studio in Montpellier, creates films for cinema and advertising. Nominated for an Oscar in 2018 for its first short animation, the team of young producers is now preparing a full-length animated feature.
A second animated short film: MaestroThe young partners focus on their main activity, realistic 3D animation featuring animals for advertising, with their partners Wizz Design (Paris), Friends (London), and Blacklist (New York). They are also preparing collaborations with the animation studio The Beastmakers, also located in Tropisme Hall, while planning to reach into the pool of Montpellier’s animation schools to hire new talents. Their staff already includes fresh graduates from the ESMA Higher School of Applied Arts.
The quintet also continues to create fictional film works. Following its latest short animated film, Maestro, released in September 2019 and already selected for dozens of festivals, they are preparing a full-length project with Watch This Entertainment, a production company based in New York.
“It will be a long-term project, lasting several years, to create and produce a full-length animated film. We are working on writing the scenario at this point,” says the CEO of Bloom Pictures.
