Report on the first Employer Mobility Plan meeting for the Hospital-University/Agropolis area

Information updated on 30/05/23

The first Employer Mobility Plan (PDME) for Montpellier’s Hospital-University/Agropolis area was held on March 31 at the CNRS site. 13 public and private employers representing over 25,000 agents and employees attended.

The focus of this meeting was on cycling, with a presentation of Montpellier Métropole’s projects – notably cycling infrastructure in these neighborhoods and the deployment of bike lockers – by Julie Frêche, Vice-President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole in charge of transport and active mobility.

Then, the employer pro-cycling initiative Objectif Employeur Pro-Vélo and “Alvéole Plus” programs were presented by Max Blanquart, representative of the French federation of bicycle riders, which runs these programs.

Both programs provide employers with technical and financial support for their bike-friendly projects. This includes the installation of secure parking facilities, as well as services for employees!

===> The next PDME meeting for these districts will be held in late 2023.
