“It was a great mission for the French startups present at Slush, along with a wonderful French Tech evening organized by Business France for the occasion,” exclaims Hind Emad, Vice President in charge of Economic Development and Digital Technologies for Montpellier Métropole.
This year was somewhat smaller than previous Slush events, with 8,800 participants (compared to an average of 25,000 in previous years).
“We nonetheless had an impressive number of investors – 1,700 – representing a total of nearly 1 billion dollars in assets. That makes Slush the largest venture capital event this year, and actually one of the largest VC events ever organized!”
