VOGO, a compagny based in Montpellier, has signed an exclusive contract with the Estonian Football Association that will see it become the official provider of video and audio refereeing (VAR) for the Estonian Football Championship.

The VOGOSPORT and VOKKERO “Pros” solutions will be rolled out over an initial period of three years, covering all national championship matches. This new contract showcases the relevance of the Group's technological solutions and the prominence they have acquired in football internationally.

With more than 30 seasons under its belt, the Estonian Football Championship is held every year from March to November. It brings together ten elite teams in a total of 180 matches.

For this competition, VOGO has signed a three-year contract for the use of VAR, its video and audio refereeing solution. This is the first time that VOGO’s VAR is being used for an entire football championship. VAR will be rolled out in March 2023.

VOGO will provide two services to the referees in this championship:

  • Video: the VOGOSPORT solution with features such as viewing simultaneous streams, zoom, replay and slow motion.
  • Audio: VOKKERO audio technology, equipped with a patented noise filter, which allows hands-free and Plug & Play use.

Hannes Kaasik, Head of the Referee Department for Estonian Football Association : " We are delighted and very keen to be able to use a video refereeing system in our championship for the first time. We embarked on this partnership because of the quality of VOGO's technological solutions, already being used by the world's largest sporting events and for VOGO’s involvement in this project and their goal to make VAR technology accessible and simpler also in a VAR light setting. ”

Bertrand Million, VOGO VP of Professional Solutions : " This long-term contract is a significant one for our Group. It will, I hope, be the first in a series alongside many others, with the potential for extensive use in all international football championships. We are currently in a good position to become a global leader in audio and video in-stadiuma solutions for professionals and fans. A position that has been reinforced in recent months thanks to our selection for global events in the sports world. ”

This success marks a new milestone in the robust sales momentum shown by VOGO over the last several months and will reinforce the growth anticipated in 2022 and beyond.
