About 500 territorial and civilian society stakeholders came together for two days to participate in the Territorial Assembly for Agroecological Transition held in February 2019.
This event was a precursor for Montpellier’s welcome of the
179 mayors from signatory cities of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact on October 7-9. Montpellier was chosen by the international event’s organizers to highlight its agroecology policy as well as the proposed theme: “Milan Urban Food Policy Pact in the 2030 time frame: 17 goals for sustainable development to guide urban food systems.”
