The International Travel and Adventure Film Festival is the meeting place for travel and adventure lovers, with a film competition highlighting alternative means of travel, for example, taking a sporting, humanitarian, or responsible approach.
- Film competition
With an average of 25 films projected and eight prizes awarded by a jury comprised of leading personalities from the world of travel and culture, adventurers-protagonists take the public on a four-day journey filled with breathtaking images and adventures of various kinds (solidarity, sports, initiation, family, etc.).
What A Trip! also offers a “Carte Blanche Ushuaïa TV session” featuring three films, several special sessions, and an OFF festival in partnership with the ABM Montpellier association.
- “Travel village”
This year, What A Trip! offers its visitors a new village on an exceptional site in the heart of Montpellier (as the previous location - Esplanade Charles de Gaulle - is currently under construction). Activities, advice about destinations around the world, food trucks, wellness, agencies, insurance providers, equipment manufacturers, tourist offices, booksellers, and artisans will all be present to provide information to every type of traveler.
With nearly 40 conferences and workshops featured at the Travel Village throughout the festival, What A Trip! will also be a time for discovery, learning, and sharing.
After each film projection, visitors are invited to meet directors, adventurers, and protagonists for a question-and-answer session. As night settles in on the Travel Village, festivalgoers will gather in front of the What A Trip! stage for a series of exceptional free concerts.
- Photo exhibitions
What A Trip! is also a cultural journey through the city, in which images, aesthetics, and the transmission of emotions take on all their meaning. Photos and travelogues are presented to the public.
