SLUSH is the largest event of its type in Europe. It provides a platform for startups, the high-tech industry, SMEs, large international companies, opinion leaders, dedicated Press, as well as investors and other venture capital firms. The event attracts participants from around the world. In 2018, the conference brought together 18,000 participants, 2,600 startups, 1,600 investors, and 600 journalists from 130 countries.

The conference has grown nearly 20% per year since it was created in 2008. Organizers are expecting 20,000 participants for the 2019 event.
The goal of the conference is to assist startups seeking inspiration, clients, partners, or investors, by facilitating networking and meetings between various stakeholders in the international technology community. The two-day event is filled with numerous conference sessions, round tables, and pitches.

The conference also features the “SLUSH 100” pitch competition, with a 1st prize of 500,000 euros. Last year, 800 startups signed up for the pitch competition, which is open to all startups participating in the SLUSH conference (preselection required).

Participation in the conference enables companies in the Montpellier area to meet with international players in the worlds of innovation, entrepreneurship, and finance. Companies can also attend the event’s numerous conferences and round tables.
