Find out more about ActInSpace®:

Initially created by CNES in 2014, and co-organized by ESA since 2016, ActInSpace is presented by the Montpellier BIC, Aerospace Valley, and IAE Montpellier.
AIS 2022 takes place on November 18 and 19 simultaneously in nearly 80 cities and 40 countries on all 5 continents. In Montpellier, the event will be held on the IAE premises.
This year’s challenges are based on four topics:
  • “Be a NewSpace player”
  • “Business in everyday life”
  • “Space for Earth and Humanity”
  • “Fly to the moon and beyond”, the new topic for this fifth edition!
You will benefit from support provided by experts in the fields of space and entrepreneurship. But you will also have to demonstrate your creativity, your ability to overcome your limitations, and your team spirit!
Various technologies and patented data will be made available to you to succeed.
The competition is straightforward: thirty challenges are defined in advance and teams of 2 to 5 people are established. Teams have 24 hours to propose a business project related to one of the challenges.

Are you still hesitating?

If you win the Montpellier competition, you will receive assistance from Montpellier BIC and local partners! You will also represent Montpellier at the French finals to be held on February 13, 2023. National finals will be followed by the international finals on February 14. Both will take place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
The winning team of the French finals will win a trip to French Guiana to attend a rocket launch, and the winning team of the International finals will win a ZeroG flight aboard the European astronaut training airplane.
Will you be the next winning team? Will you be the next AIS startup?
