The Inovie group was founded in 2010 as an initiative by doctors and independent pharmacist-biologists to unite their expertise and assist patients even more effectively throughout their health journey.

Leveraging its growth, the Inovie group is reinforcing its presence in the Montpellier Métropole area and relocating its headquarters to the Garosud business park in Montpellier. The group is also relocating its two technical platforms (currently in Saint Aunès and Montpellier), a 24/7 technical platform, and the logistics center serving Labosud’s laboratories in the Hérault and Gard departments. Investment: 12 M€.

About 180 - 200 people will work at the site. The first teams from Inovie Vet in Saint Aunès moved to the new site in January 2020. Other teams will join them there over time.

“In the beginning, we were looking for a surface area of about 3,500 m². But, given our group’s fast growth, we decided to take 6,500 m² with expansion possibilities,” says Yann Olejnik, pharmacist-biologist and Labosud partner, in charge of the technical platform and serving as project manager for the construction.

Inovie quickly settled on the Garosud business park, which meets all the group’s needs, including the potential to grow and a location close to the highway and Labosud partner clinics. The former headquarters located in Mas Tandon in Montpellier, was repurposed by the group to continue selected activities, protect the classified forest, and keep offices for business operations in a separate building.

Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole’s Business Establishment Department assisted the overall project.

“We received strong support from Montpellier Métropole and SERM teams. They helped us find appropriate answers for all our specific questions,” adds Yann Olejnik.

The health crisis made the project even more challenging. Construction work began in June 2019 and was halted entirely with France’s first confinement in early 2020. It was necessary to revise the calendar and organize work schedules so that companies would not have to be present simultaneously in order to respect social distancing requirements.

“It really was a big challenge. But, everyone was motivated, both the architects and the companies,” concludes Yann Olejnik.
